Believe it or not, I truly am a positive person... There were simply NO redeeming qualities and not 1 apology!
The service and staff have been fantastic. After staying during our recent move in can't thank the staff for all their consideration. They took coffee and pastries to my 88 year old mother every morning and took the dogs out for walks, and spent time visiting with her during the day.
Great job and thank you for your hospitality and wonderful accommodations. Better than many of the high dollar big chain motels we have stayed at.
Hidden gem and a welcome change from the chain hotels. Clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night's rest. We will go out of our way to stay here again.
Good location, was very easy to find. Room was clean and very comfortable. Liked that there was breakfast for guests.

The rate???? The same as any quality named motel/hotel in a larger community.
Would Not Recommend! Unfortunately, it is the only place in town! We checked in... Room keys didn't work... Back to the office. Woman changed our room. Ok, we got into a room Finally! No Soap, Shampoo, Kleenex or Toilet Paper! No hair dryer or in room coffee maker. Walked backed across the parking lot to the office. Slowly we were given the necessities. Again, back to the room which was full of flies. Again back to the office in hopes of a fly swatters which begrudgingly we received but we're told to return it... Quickly! Back to the room, killed too many flies to count... Returned the swatter. Not 1 apology during the whole fiasco! Have I mentioned yet the condition of the room? Filled with unnecessary furniture that did not enhance the room. 2 qn beds, 2 huge chairs, 1 40" table with 4 chairs, long motel dresser, luggage stand, 25+ hangers lying all over the floor! Bathroom toilet was disqusting!!!! After 2 hours of the above mentioned mess we were finally able to go eat dinner. The bed... adequate, springs were not too far below the surface.
The rooms were clean and quiet with new carpeting and lots of channels. The fridge and microwave made it a wonderful place to return to after a long day of packing and loading our moving truck.
I was impressed enough to recommend them to the couple who shipped our horses, they loved it and plan on staying again.
Breakfast: Butter, toaster, no bread! Did offer small pkgd muffins. Cold cereal, milk did not smell fresh. Coffee worst ever! Oh, our rooms... In the 'new building's. Don't even want to know what the old part is like!!!
I can't even begin to thank them for giving my husband and I peace of mind to get our belongings packed and shipped and all the errands necessary during a move. Without the Dakota Horizon Inn's staff it would have been so difficult!
